ekes Optical Mouse Sucks

Posted by Melo

I recently purchased an ekes optical mouse to replace my logitech optical mouse which was having some left clicking problems. The brand, ekes, might be unfamiliar to you and I must admit I’m not familiar with it myself but it was the cheapest optical mouse I could find. Thinking that they’re all just the same, I went for the cheapest brand which was ekes. I later found out that it was a stupid decision.

I went home with my brand new ekes optical mouse, unplugged my old defective logitech mouse and plugged in the new mouse. Everything was working smoothly. The new mouse was doing what it’s suppose to do but not for long. I spend a lot of time with my computer and after a few hours with the new mouse, it suddenly became hot, the light went dead and the mouse pointer stopped responding. I immediately unplugged it to reduce the risk of damaging my computer. The mouse also gave out a burnt odor. It smelled like the wires inside were burnt.

Well, as they say, you get what you paid for. I bought a cheap optical mouse and I exactly what I paid for, a cheap product both in quality and price.

My suggestion, if you find this brand anywhere, ekes, then just stay away from it. Popular brands may cost more but you’ll be getting some form of quality from it. Cheap brands are just that, CHEAP!
