Pagerank Zero Is Not Enough

Posted by User ImageMelo

These past three days I’ve noticed a drastic drop in [Kabalyero].com’s wordpress blog stats. I also noticed that the common keywords or search engine terms used to find the blog suddenly stopped appearing in the stats. It seems that those keywords used by people to find the blog suddenly stopped producing hits. Below are some screenshots of the blog’s wordpress stats before the sudden drop in traffic.

Stats December 28 Stats December 30

Stats January 02 Stats January 04

Stats January 11 Stats January 14

You’ll see that most, if not all, of the keywords used to find the blog were related to the blog’s current content which is Second Life but on January 16, 2008 the blog’s stats dropped drastically. (See Screenshot)

Stats Dropped

Checking the Search Engine Terms section I noticed that most, if not all, of the terms or keywords used to find the blog were no longer in the list. (See Screenshots)

What does it mean??? Does it mean that people suddenly lost interest in Second Life that they all stopped searching at the same time? Or, people are still searching but they just can’t find the blog’s pages or post either because it was dropped from the index or pushed way back in the results or been doomed to the supplemental index hell?

I know the pages or posts are still in the index and if it’s been moved to the secondary index then did they move all of it? That’s crazy!!! Take this post for example, Easy Ways To Earn L$ For Your Second Life, before, the post appears in the search results. In fact, there are still remnants of it in the first page of the results under the terms “easy ways to earn linden dollars” (see screenshot) but the main post was nowhere and I’ve gone through all 10 pages of it.

Remnants of the main post!

You know what’s funny? Lord Google says that they’re all about relevant results, right? Now, take a look at this page (see screenshot).

Relevant? WTH

The above page was inside Lord Google’s first 10 pages of search results using the same keywords or search terms. Now, can anyone explain to me how or why is that post or page more relevant to the post I made at kabalyero.com? Besides the fact that it copied the post title, there’s nothing really in it.

Another thing I noticed is that the sudden changes happened two days after I requested for reconsideration. Coincidence? Maybe, but if not then what do they want. I’ve already admitted that I accepted paid post at [Kabalyero].com, I’ve already changed all the links in all the paid post to nofollow and I even promised never to accept paid post that passes PR ever again. If that is not enough then I don’t know what is! As far as I know, I did what they want but instead of getting back my pagerank, what’s happening is, my pages are slowly disappearing from their results.

Kabalyero.com’s pagerank is already zero but are they now moving the content of the blog into the secondary index? Is this somekind of further punishment for getting involved with PayPerPost? If anyone has any answers, please tell me. I’m truly interested to know what’s going on.

Anyway, these are all just my observation to what’s happening to kabalyero.com. It doesn’t mean that it will happen to your blog too. All I can say is, no matter what Lord Google does and no matter how much he manipulates the results to keep my pages or post from showing, that I will continue to post and blog about my in-game or in-world experiences and adventures, whether it be in Second Life or in other virtual worlds, in [Kabalyero].com.

The supplemental index doesn’t exist anymore according to Google. They merged it with the primary index.

That’s good to know G-Man. At least, that’s taken out of the equation.

This is indeed scary. If that is the punishment for getting involved with Pay Per Post, a lot of bloggers will be scared to trade off their long time investment for short term returns.
Keep faith. Keep blogging, I am optimistic that the situation will improve. Your blog has good content that cannot be ignore. Cheers.
