“Turnip and BendzG, among others, use a benchmark of 20 cards per minute or 300 in 15 minutes for their power dropping blasts. – The Entrecarder“
Wow! 300 card drops in 15 minutes? Again, WOW! Is that even possible? I guess! I stumbled on that piece of information while I was visiting blogs to drop my card (see, I do read the blogs I visit) and I was surprised to find out that such a feat can be done in only 15 minutes. Okay, this made me want to try dropping 300 cards once again but this time I will time my attempt.
First, I cleared my cookies then logged in to Entrecard. I also checked if the number of cards I dropped today was at zero and it was at zero. For this little test of my dropping speed, I used FireFox (which I always use), Linky and PowerDropping.com’s list of fast loading Entrecard websites. The time was 1:54 am.
Due to system and bandwidth limitations, I decided to open only 10 websites at a time. It would take a few seconds for all 10 websites to load but I started dropping on the ones that loaded first and then closing it afterwards. The cycle was:
- open 10 websites (sometimes 11 or more)
- drop a card
- close after dropping
- repeat
Searching for the widget wasn’t hard since almost all of them were located above the fold and at around 2:46 am I finally dropped my card on the last site on the list. Checking my dashboard, the number of cards dropped only showed 289 so I immediately looked for additional websites to drop cards on but upon dropping my card the widget showed the message “300 per day” and when I went back to check, the number of cards dropped was updated to 302. I guess there was some kind of delay in posting the real total.
With my best effort, it took me less than an hour to drop 300 cards which is no way near the 300 cards per 15 minutes mentioned above. I guess I still have lots to learn when it comes to speed dropping but I think 300 cards in an hour isn’t that terrible. Besides, it was much faster than my first try.
