Free Traffic from Entrecard

An easy and free way to advertise and get traffic for your site is Entrecard. Entrecard is a free exchange network for 125×125 ads. Entrecard gives you the opportunity to advertise your site in any blog that is in the network, like JohnChow.com, for FREE.

The first thing you need to do is sign-up and add a blog. You can only add one blog per account so if you have 10 blogs and you want all of them to be in Entrecard then you’ll have to register all of them one at a time.

During the sign-up process you will need to select a card style which is a 125×125 graphic. If you don’t like the ones available then you can create your own and upload it into the system.

After completing the sign-up form, you will be then asked to get and place the Entrecard Widget Code into your blog’s sidebar. By placing the widget on your blog, other Entrecard members who visit your blog will be able to drop their cards in it. Receiving drop cards is good because the number of dropped cards received determines the cost of advertising in your Entrecard widget. Dropping cards will also get you credits at 1 credit per drop.

So, if you receive 10 cards per day, for five days, you will find your price to be 20 credits, or (10) x 2 = 20

Advertising in any of Entrecard’s member blogs is FREE because instead of money, you pay for it with credits. That is why dropping and receiving dropped cards are important.

Free traffic from Entrecard will come from members dropping their cards on your widget and from Entrecard Ads you purchased from member blogs. To buy Ads, just visit Campaign and browse through the list either by Category, Most Recent, Most Popular, Most Recommended and Lowest Wait. Entrecards from all members are displayed together with the advertising cost. Just select the ones you can afford and if you ran out of credit then just go back dropping cards.

It will not take long before members start dropping cards on you. Dropped cards mean free traffic. It may not be of high quality (since most will be drop and go) but it’s a start because once you start buying ads through credits gained those ads will bring in more traffic of much higher quality.
