Bluehost.com Adds SimpleScripts
Posted by MeloIt’s no secret that my first week with Bluehost.com wasn’t very encouraging, Hosting Blues With Bluehost. In fact, I almost switched to HostGator. Anyway, it’s been 5 months and I’m still with them. I can also say that my experience with them since then has been very satisfactory.
From time to time Bluehost.com will send out announcements to its members and in their latest e-mail Bluehost.com announced a new feature or service which they have added to all of their members web hosting accounts. This new feature is called SimpleScripts.
SimpleScript is very much like Fantastico, which is also available to all web hosting accounts. It is a tool used to automate the process of installing and removing scripts like Wordpress, Joomla, phpBB and others.

Some of the scripts included in SimpleScripts are also in Fantastico. The advantage of having both tool is that you’ll be able to install scripts that are not available in one of them but are available in the other (vice versa). Also, it seems that SimpleScripts is updated faster than Fantastico that is why Bluehost.com encourages their members to install with SimpleScript first specially if the script they want to install is available in both tool.
I don’t really use tools like this to install scripts. I kinda like doing it manually but for those who find manual installs painful, I’m quite sure that they’ll very much appreciate tools like SimpleScripts.

blue host is really a good plan , when i first thought of getting my own domain , all my friends told me that the best plan ever is
domain with godaddy + hosting with bluehost .

What I don’t understand if you have critical website or need good performance why are you looking for a cheap web hosting client? Get a dedicated server. You can find Managed dedicated servers from reputable companies like Server Intellect and host your sites and development sites. Once your site grows to large you will have to move to a different host or plan. I mean how many horror stories have you heard from larger sites that were shut down because they were hogging all the resources on one server. Better to have the big server to grow into, then have to move and lose a client base because your site is down for 3 days while you move.
