The Internet
Share Your Thoughts
Posted by MeloNoticeably, I haven’t written that much in this humble blog of mine. It’s because I’ve been busy with other things like helping my wife with our new baby girl. Yeah!
Anyway, my recent internet foray introduced me to a new site (at least for me it’s new) where you can share or blog about your thoughts, ideas, opinions and views about the many things that are happening around us. The site is simply called Thoughts.com and, obviously, it’s a site about sharing your thoughts through blogging about it or by sharing it through the many topics at the forum.
Hmmm, I just realized that thoughts and views can also be expressed through other things like photos (images/pictures), sounds or videos and Thoughts.com has the features to accomodate all of that.
I kinda noticed that Thoughts.com markets itself as a blog provider. This is evident in their site title which says, “Create a Blog – FREE Blogs at Thoughs.com” but it is obvious that it is more than just a blog provider because it has features that are very common to a social networking website than a blog provider. If you have seen some of the more popular social networking websites then you’ll know what I mean.
Creating an account with Thoughts.com is very easy. In fact, I created mine in just a few seconds. The first thing I did after creating my account and logging in was to upload an avatar for my profile. Next, I updated my profile information, uploaded a photo and did a blog post. I also checked the forums but I haven’t posted any replies or started any topic yet because I wanted to observe it more to get a better feel of the discussions being started and to know more about the people who are actively posting/participating in the many discussions that were already started.
Here is a screenshot of my Profile at Thoughts.com or, better yet, why not visit my Thoughts.com profile by clicking here.
LOL! As you can see (or will see) it’s still pretty new so if you do decide to join Thoughts.com then please don’t hesitate to ADD me as a friend. You’ll also noticed that my profile has it’s own URL which makes it easier to remember.
Anyway, I think I’m going to use my account here to mirror my thoughts on my other blog. What do you think?
