A few days ago, I posted about HBO-Asia’s Flight of the Conchords Video Trailer Making Contest where I created a 30 seconds video trailer in Second Life but was not able to submit it because of not being an HBO-Asia subscriber. Well, eleven days after I posted it a comment by someone who goes by the name of Angela said that an HBO subscription is not required. O_o. How was that possible? So, I went back to the entry submission page and tried to submit it but it always ask me for my HBO-Asia account information which, apparently, I have none. After a few more tries I gave up.

Later that day, my wife, who helped me create the video, was using our kids computer to check her e-mail and her friendster asked me if I was able to submit the video. I said no of course and then she said she’ll try to submit it so I said okay. She signed up with HBO-Asia and after just a few minutes she told me that the video was submitted. I was surprised and asked her how she did it. She said that she just filled in all the forms. I asked her about the HBO-Asia Account field and she said she just put in a ramdom number. OMG! Why didn’t I think of that? When I was submitting the video, I would always skip that field and leave it empty and that was creating the error. I love making videos specially in-game or in-world videos of my activities in Second Life or in any online game I play. I know that my videos are not at the same level of quality as those made by real Video Production Service Professionals but, hey, the important thing is that I enjoy making them. LOL!

Video

In the past two years I’ve made a total of 42 in-game and in-world videos. They are hosted in various video sharing websites but all 42 of them are hosted in YouTube. My most viewed video with a current total of 16,312 views is the one I made about Rakion Online which shows the Cell Hack in action. It is also badly rated with a rating of only 1 and a half star but, fortunately, I do have a few videos that are rated highly and most are not rated at all. LOL! [...continue reading Making Videos]

I was thinking of posting about some of the Best extensions for Firefox specially the ones I can’t browse without like AdSense Notifier and IE View but when I stumbled upon this site named Gadget Advisor, I decided to just link to it instead since it has almost all of my favorite Firefox extensions. I think the other two extensions that I’d add to it are SEO Quake and ColorZilla which are really cool. SEO Quake helps me monitor my blog’s (and other blogs and websites) PageRank, Link Popularity, Alexa Rank and other SEO related statistics while I use ColorZilla in designing web pages. ColorZilla helps me pick colors from web pages that I like.

Gadget Advisor

I find the site really helpful with comprehensive reviews of the latest computer hardwares like the MSI x58 Eclipse motherboard and softwares like their Blaze Media Pro review. Another thing I like about the site is the design or theme. I’m not sure if it’s custom made or not but it looks nice and clean. It is also not ad ridden unlike some of the more popular technology blogs which adds to the appeal of the site.

Arggh! For some reason, I’ve been receiving hundreds of e-mail spam about male enhancement for quite some time now and it’s driving me insane. Don’t worry, I am still sane but deleting hundreds of e-mails like this everyday is very tiring, annoying, irritating and, don’t forget, a total waste of time. I’ve set up e-mail filters to filter out and delete e-mails like this but it seems that it isn’t working too well because I’m still getting hundreds of male enhancement e-mail spams.

That’s not all I’m getting, I’m also getting e-mail spams about viagra, horny teens and other adult related stuff. What I can’t figure out is why I’m getting these kind of spam e-mails? I don’t remember registering in any porn related or adult related sites at all. I guess my e-mail addresses got harvested by spammers and don’t ask me how it is done because I have no idea. Yesterday, we had a medical alert. My mother-in-law suddenly called to ask my wife to accompany her to the hospital. It seems that she is experiencing some abdominal pains and, I guess, at her age, her threshold for pain is not that strong anymore.

Alert!!!

My wife was doing our laundry at that time so she had to drop what she was doing. She immediately went to her parents home which was just a few blocks from ours and took her mother to the hospital. Is there such a thing as Best Cheap Web Hosting? When I started my first hosted website more than eight years ago, the next thing I did after selecting and paying for my first domain name was to search for a cheap but reliable web hosting provider and in eight years I’ve been with only three web host.

Server Starting

My first web host, which I forgot the name already, was good in the sense that it met my needs at that time but, as added more sites, my needs increased which made me move to a new host. My next web host was Site5 and I think I stayed with them for 3 years. Here is a money making site which I happened to stumbled on a few days ago and its name is Bukisa. It’s that time of year again where I have to renew the card I am using for my online transactions. Actually, I don’t have to apply to renew it since it renews automatically but what I don’t like about the process is that I have to get it personally from the issuing bank. I don’t understand that.

Please just mail my renewed card to me!

When I applied for it three years ago, they sent the card to me by postal mail when my application was approved but to get the renewed card, I have to go back to the bank where I got it every year?
