Izea’s Sponsored Tweets

If you are a member of Social Spark then I’m sure you are already familiar with Sponsored Tweets since they have this huge banner about it on their site. Sponsored Tweets is Izea’s latest addition to their online money making platforms for bloggers like Social Spark and Pay Per Post but this time its for tweeters.

As the name implies, Sponsored Tweets pays tweeters to tweet for their advertisers. A tweeter can receive as much as $100 USD for a sponsored tweet. Upon sign-up, Sponsored Tweets will provide a suggestion on how much you should charge advertisers per sponsored tweet but you can easily change it to your preferred amount. Just remember, asking for more money may lead to fewer or no advertisers at all.

Signing-up to Sponsored Tweets is very easy. Just hit the Sign Up button, login to your Twitter account, give Sponsored Tweets permission to connect to your Twitter account and wait for advertisers. Of course, you need to fill out some information about your account like how much you will charge, keywords, category, etc. Doing so will help advertisers find you better in Sponsored Tweets tweeter directory for advertisers (although, you need to have at lest 200 followers to be visible in searches).

I’ve already signed-up with Sponsored Tweets and I’ve already made $1.00 from one advertiser.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m not bragging that $1.00. I just want to show that Sponsored Tweets works. I guess, I need to work on getting more followers to make my account more attractive to advertisers because, right now, I only have a total of 27 followers (if you wish to follow me then my twitter account is http://twitter.com/romelo).

I see this as a great way of making money from your Twitter account specially if you have a huge follower base. As for me, I don’t see myself making much money from Sponsored Tweets any time soon  specially with only 27 followers but it wouldn’t hurt to become a member, would it? Who knows, I might get a few more opportunities even if it’s only for a dollar. He he he!
