I love getting comments from my visitors, I may not always reply to all of them but still I love getting them. I guess we can say that “comments are the life blood of our blogs” but, unfortunately, not all comments are good. In fact, some comments can be bad for your blog because most of them can have links to bad websites. These kind of comments are what we call SPAM.
Fortunately, most of the comment spams my blogs receive are handled and filtered out by Akismet and WP-SpamFree. These two plugins are great in fighting comment spam but not all comment spams are blocked. In some cases, a few spam comments can easily pass through both Akismet and WP-SpamFree. Just look at the screenshot below.
I received four comments in four different post from supposedly four different persons. Except from the names and the e-mail addresses used, all four are identical. All four were linked to the same blog, seomasterblog.com. All four came from the same IP address, 93.182.137.42, and all four have the same message.
I’m no SEO Expert and I certainly don’t consider myself an SEO Master. I’m just your everyday blogger who loves to blog about things that I find interesting like this particular comment spam. For someone promoting a blog named seomasterblog.com, comment spamming is surely not an act of an SEO Master. It’s more of an act of an SEO Comment Spammer Master. LOL!
Seriously, if you are going to spam, at least change the name, the link, the e-mail address and, most importantly, the comment itself. Make the comment, if possible, related to the topic of the blog post.
Regarding the Amsterdam part of the post title, it came from the Whois result of the IP address. See the screenshot below.
The whois of the IP says the country is NL and the city is Amsterdam. It also listed the name of the network where that particular IP belongs.
Anyway, below are links to post on how to comment on blogs and I hope our SEO Comment Spammer Master can learn something from them:

Hahaha, funny how some webmasters try to promote their site. I often receive this type of comment: “Great post, I like it thanks for posting it…” what I do mostly is delete those comment, especially when the link is pointing to a garbage site!
