  • Shareapic: Legit or Scam?

Show Me The Money | April 23rd, 2010 by Melo 448 views

Up until now, I still can’t decide whether Shareapic is legit or a scam. Last year, I was able to reach and surpass their $20 payment requirement and immediately requested payment. That payment never came because Shareapic was battling a law suit. That was understandable but now that they have amicably settled their legal issues, they claimed that they are now paying their members what they owed them.

    Shareapic

In one of their tweets, Shareapic claimed that they have paid off all request for payment for the months of June and July 2009. If this claim was true then I should have gotten my payment already but that wasn’t the case because I haven’t received any thing from them.

I then noticed that they were responding to inquiries on their Twitter account. I sent them multiple inquiries regarding my payment request dated June 22, 2009 but I never got a respond. Not even a direct message. I also tried asking them a question in their formspring.me account but to no luck. Are they picking and choosing who to pay?

What concerns me is that they claimed that they have already paid their members for the months of June and July 2009 which couldn’t be true. If it was true then I would have received my payment too.

Now I ask, is Shareapic legit or is it a scam? Have you been paid by Shareapic?

You have to go into these startup type ventures as a “miss” all the time. I never get too excited by any of them. Remember “Widgetbucks” and the “shoppingAds”..all falling to the lawsuit axe.

I am a member but have yet to reach the $20 payout requirement. However, I received a direct message from another member that got his/her account deleted/cancelled right after he/she requested for payment… looks worrying…

I won't say they are a scam… yet. I was getting paid regularly until over a year ago when this lawsuit thing happened. Now nothing – and no communication from them except a month old tweet that said they are working out some issues with Paypal. But their site seems to be down more than up lately. They claim it is a dos attack but it doesn't take a month to fix that.

I've been requesting since last year and all I got was an e-mail saying payment will be released soon then asked me a few URLs. Payment never came. I'm still waiting though.
