Do you enjoy reading articles? Well, today I came upon a website that pays its members to read and rate articles. It seems easy enough to do, specially since I read articles posted on various blogs and websites every day, so I signed up. The website is “readbud” (www.readbud.com).
Signing up for a readbud account is FREE and it will only take a few minutes. Simply fill up the sign-up form, hit the submit button, wait for the activation e-mail, activate your account, login to your “readbud” account, select topics that interest you and start getting paid for reading and rating articles.
The amount of money you get paid for reading and rating the articles depends on the length of the article itself. Articles with under 100 words are worth 1 cent while articles with over 2000 words are worth 20 cents (see screenshot below).
A brief or summary of the article together with the amount of how much you’ll get paid for reading and rating it will be displayed to you. You can then decide to whether read it or skip it by clicking on its respective buttons (see screenshot below).
If you choose to read the article then you must carefully read it so that you will be able to give it a proper rating. Unfortunately, some of the articles I read where really terrible. I felt that some where even translated to English from other languages via online translators. For example, there was an article about “watching House MD online for free”. Instead of House MD, the article refers to it as Residence MD and Property MD. Of course, the said article didn’t get a good rating from me.
In my first reading and rating session, I was able to read and rate 18 articles and those 18 articles made me $1.01 USD. Not bad for spending a few minutes reading and rating articles.
Anyway, this is the first “get paid to read” website that I’ve encountered, that is why I’m giving it a try. If it don’t work out then I’ll just charge it to experience. LOL!
Update: I forgot to mention that you will encounter some pop-up banners and pages while on readbud’s website.
P.S. If you are interested in joining “readbud” then please join under me. Thanks! ^_^
