The Next Level In Video Chat Experience

    Monday, July 12th, 2010

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of faceVsion Technology USA. All opinions are 100% mine.

One of the most famous feature of Skype is its Video Chat. This particular feature is widely used by businesses and by private individuals because it allows people to communicate with each other face-to-face. It is indeed an amazing feature limited only by today’s video web cam technology.

Most of today’s video web cams are so bad that they can only provide or show very low video quality. Video quality is a key ingredient in the kind and level of experience users can have with Video Chat. The better the video quality, the better the experience is. Poor video quality often results to bad experience and can be strenuous for the eyes. (more…)

CD or DVD Duplication Services, Are They Needed?

    Saturday, June 19th, 2010

For years, I have been burning my own CDs and DVDs and I have been duplicating them as well. Burning content on CDs and DVDs is an important part of my work as a freelancer and, sometimes, I need to duplicate these DVDs and CDs specially when a client requests extra copies of a finished work. Fortunately, none of them had requested more than 1 or 2 copies and these extra copies were usually for backup purposes only.

    DVDs

Now, since I don’t burn or duplicate that many CDs or DVDs it’s not surprising that I do them myself using my own computer’s CD/DVD Writer. But, what if I suddenly need to burn hundreds or even thousands of DVDs or CDs? Would it still be feasible to burn and duplicate them myself or would it be more efficient to seek the service of a CD or DVD duplication service provider? (more…)

    Fingerprint Locks?

    Thursday, March 5th, 2009

I was watching The 6th Day on a local channel with my kids the other day and one of them noticed the biometric device that scans a persons thumbprint in order to gain access to something. He noticed it because Arnold was carrying with him a thumb which he took from one of the clones that he killed and then uses it to enter the restricted areas of the cloning facility. He asked if such a security device exist today and if it does exist is it that easy to by pass. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to answer him but I do know that biometric exist and, I believe, a fingerprint lock is one of it.

For now, I only see them in movies, television series and even in cartoons but this kind of security system do exist today. I have yet to see one for myself, though. I guess the technology is still not yet available here in our country and even if it is already available here then I am sure that the cost of using it will be much higher than traditional security/locking devices. Making Videos

    Thursday, October 30th, 2008

I love making videos specially in-game or in-world videos of my activities in Second Life or in any online game I play. I know that my videos are not at the same level of quality as those made by real Video Production Service Professionals but, hey, the important thing is that I enjoy making them. LOL!

In the past two years I’ve made a total of 42 in-game and in-world videos. They are hosted in various video sharing websites but all 42 of them are hosted in YouTube. My most viewed video with a current total of 16,312 views is the one I made about Rakion Online which shows the Cell Hack in action. It is also badly rated with a rating of only 1 and a half star but, fortunately, I do have a few videos that are rated highly and most are not rated at all. LOL! (more…)

    Gadget Advisor

    Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

I was thinking of posting about some of the Best extensions for Firefox specially the ones I can’t browse without like AdSense Notifier and IE View but when I stumbled upon this site named Gadget Advisor, I decided to just link to it instead since it has almost all of my favorite Firefox extensions. I think the other two extensions that I’d add to it are SEO Quake and ColorZilla which are really cool. SEO Quake helps me monitor my blog’s (and other blogs and websites) PageRank, Link Popularity, Alexa Rank and other SEO related statistics while I use ColorZilla in designing web pages. ColorZilla helps me pick colors from web pages that I like.

    Gadget Advisor

I find the site really helpful with comprehensive reviews of the latest computer hardwares like the MSI x58 Eclipse motherboard and softwares like their Blaze Media Pro review. Another thing I like about the site is the design or theme. I’m not sure if it’s custom made or not but it looks nice and clean. It is also not ad ridden unlike some of the more popular technology blogs which adds to the appeal of the site.

Anyway, have a look at Gadget Advisor and let me know what you think of it.

    HD Radio?

    Sunday, September 14th, 2008

Well, call me a caveman but this is the first time I’ve heard of it. I guess I’m more of a TV person than a radio one. It’s not that I don’t like radios but with the internet I can find, listen and even download the songs and music I like, there’s hardly no use for a radio anymore. Besides, would I trade the high quality of digital music to an analog one? Well, I would trade digital music to live music anytime but to an analog one, of course not.

    Is it time to upgrade?

So, what’s with this HD Radio thing? I guess it’s the latest thing in radio broadcasting. It kinda allows your local radio stations to broadcast their programs digitally which means you’ll be hearing CD quality sounds, crystal clear reception and most of all there are no static, his or sound distortion which is common with analog radios. That’s not all, because it’s digital, other information can sent as well like stock info, song titles and others. (more…)
