  • Manually Block Bad Websites With BlockSite

The Internet | June 4th, 2010 by Melo 87 views

In my previous post, I blogged about Quick Drop pages (for Entrecard and Adgitize) that includes websites or blogs that contain malwares and/or viruses that try to infect your computer when they are accessed. Today while dropping Entrecards and clicking on Adgitize Ads, I came upon another blog that tried to infect my computer with something but AVG was able to detect and block it again.

    Malware Alert

I did a little test and reloaded the blog 3 times and AVG was able to detect and block the infection attempt each time. The blog was not in any Quick Drop pages. I was simply following and clicking on Adgitize Ads. Read the rest of this entry »

Why You Should Avoid Quick Drop Pages?

    Entrecard | May 29th, 2010 by Melo 31 views

Quick Drop Pages are very popular specially to members of Entrecard (and even Adgitize) because it makes dropping entrecard and clicking adgitize ads much faster and easier but, unfortunately, most, if not all, of them are not well maintained. The chance of you getting infected by a malware or a virus embedded in one of the listed blogs is quite high.

(Taken during one of my Entrecard Dropping session)

It would be nice if all of the infection attempt could be detected by your Anti-Virus but that’s highly unlikely. As always, the best protection is by avoiding them but with Quick Drop Pages avoiding them would be kinda hard because you don’t know what blog or site the quick drop button will open for you. Blogsvertise.com Payment Received (May 11, 2010)

Show Me The Money | May 18th, 2010 by Melo 85 views

On May 11, 2010, I received a PayPal payment from Blogsvertise.com amounting to $7.50 USD. It was my 10th payment from Blogsvertise.com since I joined them. As a publisher, I do get many opportunities from Blogsvertise.com but I don’t accept many of them because most are not related to any of my blogs and I try, as much as possible, to not post too many unrelated topics to my blogs.

    PayPal payment from Blogvertise.com

If I had taken every opportunities that got assigned to me then I would had made much more but, then again, it will also turn my blogs into SPAM blogs and I don’t think visitors will like that too much. Read the rest of this entry »

    PaySpree.com, Instant Commission Affiliate Network

Show Me The Money | May 10th, 2010 by Melo 146 views

I recently came upon this Affiliate Network, PaySpree.com, while I was Googling for new affiliate networks to try out or join. The thing that attracted me to PaySpree.com is their Instant Commission. This means that, as a vendor or an affiliate, you don’t have to wait long periods of time to get paid. A more detailed explanation of PaySpree.com’s Commission System is available here.

    PaySpree.com

I’m still not pretty sure how it will work because this is the first time I’ve read or heard about such a commission system but I’m willing to try it out. By the way, signing-up for an account with Payspree.com is FREE! Read the rest of this entry »

    Shareapic: Legit or Scam?

Show Me The Money | April 23rd, 2010 by Melo 430 views

Up until now, I still can’t decide whether Shareapic is legit or a scam. Last year, I was able to reach and surpass their $20 payment requirement and immediately requested payment. That payment never came because Shareapic was battling a law suit. That was understandable but now that they have amicably settled their legal issues, they claimed that they are now paying their members what they owed them.

    Shareapic

In one of their tweets, Shareapic claimed that they have paid off all request for payment for the months of June and July 2009. If this claim was true then I should have gotten my payment already but that wasn’t the case because I haven’t received any thing from them. Read the rest of this entry »

    Youve Just Made $600 Commissions

Spams and Scams | April 4th, 2010 by Melo 219 views

A few days ago, on April Fools Day to be exact, I receive a series of e-mail spams informing me that I just made $600 commissions. From who or where, I have no freaking idea. I get hundreds of spams everyday and there was no way I’m going to fall for this one. Why? It was so obvious and besides me making $600 out of nowhere is almost next to impossible. Good try though! LOL!

    $600 Spam

The From and Reply-To of the e-mail is addressed to noreply@ballsrodandkustom.com and its Return-path is apache@usfarmer.com. I’m not sure if those domains exist or not. I was afraid to check them because it could lead to a website that installs malware or other bad stuff. Read the rest of this entry »
