PayingPost Gone Bad?

Posted by Melo

Last week, Google Chrome wouldn’t load two of my blogs, this one and Kabalyero.com. Google Chrome would display a malware warning saying that the blogs “contains elements of img309.imagehack.ws which appears to host malware”. At first, I thought it was just a false positive and that Google Chrome is just mistaking imageshack.us with imagehack.ws since both blogs still load with no problems in Firefox. After searching both blogs source HTML codes for any instance of img309.imagehack.ws which turned out negative, I simply brushed it off as an error within Google Chrome’s security and used Firefox instead.

Today, these two blogs suddenly stopped loading in Firefox as well. Alarmed, I immediately started searching Google for possible answers. The search term I used in Google was “chrome reports imagehack.ws on my site” and the result lead me to Google’s Support Forum where the same issue is being discussed. Domain Name Sale Scam

Posted by Melo

Yesterday, I received an e-mail from a certain Joseph Sullivan (sullivan@domainsecondhand.com). He was inquiring about one of my domain names that is for sale. Thinking that it was a legitimate inquiry, I responded and gave him the link to the domain name’s sales page in sedo.co.uk.

The next day, he responded saying that the domain name he was interested in is worth about $5,000 – $7,000 USD but to make sure he would need an appraisal from an independent appraisal company and included a forum link where domain appraisals were discussed. The forum was highly suspicious because it was just an HTML archive page of what supposedly a previous forum discussion. [...continue reading Domain Name Sale Scam]

Entrecard Link

Posted by Melo

Today, I received another e-mail from a fellow Entrecard member telling me that I should link my Entrecard to the main page of my blog and not to isolated pages. He also cited that it was against Entrecard’s Terms and Conditions. I used the term “another” because it was the second time this particular Entrecard member has sent me a message about it. The first time was last September 3, 2009 and the content of the message was the same.

Message dated September 3, 2009 reads:

FYI:

You should direct your Entrecard to the main page of your weblog, not to specific, isolated pages thereof.

After getting this message, I immediately contacted Entrecard and asked about it and they responded with “Yes, you can change your website url in your dashboard.” [...continue reading Entrecard Link]

Traffic and a Few Bucks with Adgitize

I learned about Adgitize a couple of months ago and have been a member since then. I’m not what you can call a very active member but I still made a couple of bucks on my first month with Adgitize. 2 dollars and 38 cents ($2.38 USD) to be exact. If you are an active Entrecard dropper then I’m sure you have seen Adgitize ads on many Entrecard member blogs. In fact, that is how I found out about it.
