Entrecard
Chain Dropping Or Just Cheating?

A few days ago there was a thread in Entrecard forums about a series of generic cards that lead to blogs that open up huge advertising pages. These page sized ads are really annoying because they tend to cover up the entire site and you’ll have to click on a link to skip the ad before you can get to the blog itself. One member openly named these blogs and they are Vietnam, Software Technology, Phone Technology, Java Program World, Money and Forex. He also cited that these 5 blogs were always together in his Drop Inbox.
5 different cards from 5 different blogs are always together? These I got to see, so, I checked my Drop Inbox to find out if they were dropping on me too and, you know what, all 5 of them were there.
Okay, I find that a little strange. I have a few blogs myself but I don’t think I can do something like that because to switch from one account to another will take a few seconds to a minute at least and during that time someone could have cut in ahead of me, right?
It seems that they’ve been dropping on me for sometime now and I guess I’ve been dropping on them too without knowing about it, besides, I wouldn’t have noticed it anyway and I was just trying to reciprocate when I can.
Is that even posible? I mean that level of consistency and accuracy in dropping, can that be done? Anyway, possible or not I have decided to avoid these 5 blogs not because I suspect them of cheating (a reason for avoiding them already) but because of the page ads that shows up everytime you visit them.
By the way, with the new limit of 600 drops per IP, farming for credits (which is obviously what these blogs are doing) is no longer possible. Well, almost but not quite! They can always work around that restriction by using a proxy server or just by resetting their modems but it was mentioned in the dev chat that those caught or found cheating the system by purposely switching their IPs will be banned from Entrecard.

They are a pain in the rear! First off, I found your blog and 299 other ones through Ty’s Blog where he had and I downloaded a Firefox bookmark of Entrecard blogs.
When I visit a blog, I do not like to be tricked into clicking on something that isn’t what it is. Namely, when I see the “drop” notice, click on it, and get moved to another page, I feel cheated.
I can’t stop this process, but what I do is skip those blogs encouraging such trickery.
Bloggers should wise up and realize that their visitors should be treated with respect, not fooled.

I stopped dropping on them.
They are not real blogs but splogs made to farm EntreCredits.
Plus, the “SKIP THIS AD” royally pisses me off.
