Automagically Find Blogs To Advertise In

It may sound noobish for the many Entrecard experts that are out there but today I found out that you can use the new Campaign Browser feature of Entrecard to automate the process of searching for member blogs to buy advertisements from. What I mean by automate is you set the settings, leave it and it will continously search for member blogs that match the settings you set.

Let me show you what I mean:

To get to the Browser you click on Campaign (top menu item) and then on Browser tab. It will display the Browser page with the default settings and it will then load the top 15 cards that matches the default settings.

For my little experiment, I set the Maximum price to 8ec and left everything as is. I then clicked on Search for the new settings to take effect.

Luckily, my search found one card that matched my settings. The cost to advertise on this particular card is 8ec which is what my Maximum price is set to. Some information about the card is displayed on the sidebar. You’ll see it when you hover your mouse pointer over the card.

Purchasing the ad does not end it. You see, this page is somewhat dynamic. What I mean is, it will continue to search for cards that matches your settings every minute. See the next set of screenshots.

As you can see from the screenshots that the result gets updated with new cards that cost only 8ec and below to advertise in. You’ll also see that there are even 2ec cards in there.

I’ve been doing this for two days and I can say that this is one of the main reasons why I’m running out of reserved credits. The other reason is the fact that we are only limited to 600ec per IP.

I find it very convenient because I just set it, search once and leave it. What I do next is just check the page from time to time to see if the result gets updated with new cards. Infact, you might even get really lucky and see a few 1ec cards in there. LOL!

Of course, you don’t have to buy everything that gets displayed. You can also be picky and check the blogs before buying an ad and you can also set your maximum price higher or set it lower, depends on your preference.

It’s not really that time consuming and it does not need much attention. You can do this while you are doing other things like while you are dropping cards or while you are writing a blog entry. What I’m saying is that you don’t need to watch over it. Just set it, search once, leave it running and check back later to see if there are any results.

Do this and you’ll run out of credits before you run out of blogs to advertise in specially if you are constantly looking for blogs with cheap rates (like me). LOL!
