Show Me The Money
Clickbooth

Today, I went on to search for some affiliate networks to join and using Lord Google’s search engine I found on the second page of the results under the keywords affiliate network some of the more popular affiliate networks like Commission Junction and Linkshare which I’m already a member. Now, at the bottom of the results page was Clickbooth Affiliate Network.

Okay, Clickbooth got me interested simply because it was the first time I’ve heard of it. I went to their website and started browsing around specially the Publisher Solutions section. One point that keeps appearing on all the pages of the Publisher Solutions is this:
Guaranteed highest payouts – Clickbooth guarantees its publishers the highest payouts in the industry – HASSLE FREE! Publishers no longer have to demand for the top payouts, Clickbooth provides them on its own accord.
I went through all 5 pages of the Publisher Solutions section and all 5 pages mentioned it. Okay, the only way to find out if that’s true or not is to SIGN-UP!
Signing up is easy but this is also where I got stumped. You see, in order for you to complete the sign-up process you need to input a PIN. They’ll ask for your phone number and the system will call you and give you your PIN. What happened to me was, I kinda asked them to call me three times. Here is why I did that:
- the first time, their form changed the space to zero which automatically messed up my phone number
- the second time, I received that call but the machine didn’t sound too good and I couldn’t understand what it was saying
- I tried again for the third time and this time I was able to understand what the machine was saying and I finally got my PIN
BUT! After entering my PIN, the next message I got was this, “You have exceeded your number of confirmation calls”. What a bummer! I didn’t intend to call them three times, no! All I wanted was to get my PIN number and complete the registration. Oh well, I guess I’ll try again at a later date. I just hope that they don’t permanently block me from their system.
By the way, they do have big name advertisers and a few of them are Yahoo!, myspace.com, MSN, America Online, Real Arcade, Vista Print, and Blockbuster.
Anyway, I’ll still give Clickbooth a try that is if the system lets me and for those who want to try Clickbooth, just be careful with the phone verification thing. It’s a good way to avoid fraud but if you make a mistake then it will block you off and you won’t be able to complete your registration.
